Tomato Site

The Archive Site of the Ewell Cistercians

The community closed in April, 2004. As in other monastic communities there were no aspirants coming to the community. So we decided that the proper thing was to close the community. We felt that this was a positive statement - we had accomplished in the past 38 years what we had originally set out to do and now it was necessary to change. So we decided to go 'out' to witness to the Gospel in society by whatever means might come to us - it was to be the New Life for us.

Here you can still look up all your favourite pages! Click on the menus on the left. Read the monastery letters since 1998 or the records of the tomato crop from 1999 on the tomato site.
