Curtain Up!

Born into life
cocooned in
chrysalis
metamorphosed
into four winged beauty
hurtling through space
into fulfilment of life
- and death.

Surrounded by this natural process
we, humanly,
are in turn cocooned
in beauty and laughter
pain and anguish
- and the inevitability
of death.

But there was one
born of woman
two millennia ago
who, in life and in death,
drew aside the curtains
- once and for all -
that separated us from
love undying -

Jesus, transfigured
out of mortal death
- once and for all -
having put on the beauty
and strength of the divine love;
with us here and now -
24/7 - in the dance of life.
